All schools that take up the GEMS iNSPIRE Assessments, the Whole Year School Model or the GEMS Nurture International Affiliation receive training as integral part of their programme.

This also enables them to get a certificate of proficiency at the Copper Level in the Copper to Gold GEMS Training Programme. Target for all teachers is 100 hours of training at the Copper Level within the period of the contract.

Through Ed Leadership Forum, we provide a wide variety of on-going regional, national and international training and empowerment programmes for teachers and educational heads of schools whether or not they are in the GEMS Programmes. Launched in January 2008, Ed Leadership is becoming a powerful way to re-empower educational leaders and practitioners throughout India. For those schools that wish to host a regional training programme, please contact us. For those in the GEMS programme, they get credit points towards their Copper Level.

For all schools, we now offer two types of teacher certification programmes in addition to Copper to Gold training. GCPL has currently three levels of teacher assessments for teachers of English and Mathematics teaching grades preK to Class VIII.

GCPL also offers courses and certification for UK’s Cambridge ESOL Examinations including Teacher Knowledge Test or TKT for the teachers. Cambridge University’s TKT tests knowledge about the teaching of English to speakers of other languages, and concentrates on the knowledge needed by all English Language teachers.
